x100% Organic, free range, outdoor British pork unsmoked gammon steaks with added water. Traditional tasty and succulent gammon.
Our gammons steaks are made from free range, outdoor bred pigs raised to the highest welfare standards - going above and beyond the usual organic standards. We do not routinely use any antibiotics and NEVER use critically endangered ones. The pigs are fed on a GM free diet and here on our farm in Wiltshire their food is supplemented with fresh waste fruit and vegetables from Abel and Cole adding colour and variety to their day. All our pigs are free to roam and root as pigs love to do. They live in warm pig arks with plenty of straw bedding and we even dig wallows for them to cool off in when the weather gets hot. We work with 2 or 3 other farms who adhere to the same standards as we do to ensure that all the pork in our supply chain is certified to the same high standards.
We also hope to be able to move to curing these gammon steaks without the use of nitrates and nitrites in the future. At the present time though we have only managed it with our bacon and speedy sausages. It's a tricky process!
