

Artadi Vinas des Gains is a Spanish red wine crafted from Tempranillo grapes. Aged in French oak barrels, it develops aromas of fresh red fruits and a velvety texture. This wine can be enjoyed immediately or cellared for a few years to enhance its complexity.

Artadi dates back to 1981 when its current owner, Juan Carlos López de Lacalle, together with his family and thirteen local growers founded Artadi in the heart of Alava.
The soil is clay and limestone, resulting in rich wines, a cooler climate, helps maintain the acidity levels. Artadi have the maximum respect for the environment as they are Organic and do not use pest or herbicides.
The style of this wine is characterised by aromas and flavours of fresh and delicate red fruits. Their sweet and subtle tannins generate velvety textures in the mouth.
The grapes are hand picked in to 10 kg crates, the sorting of bunches and berries is carried out after picking. Vinification takes place in stainless-steel open top vats with cold maceration for 24-48 hours. Fermentation takes 10-12 days with often cap management and a brief pumping over. In French oak for 12 months.
