Storage Keep refrigerated at -2°C to +4°C. Do not exceed the use by date. Store uncooked meat covered and lower in the fridge than cooked meat. Suitable for freezing. Freeze before date mark shown. Defrost thoroughly before cooking. Use on day of defrost. Once defrosted, do not refreeze.

Preparation and Usage Cooking instructions Oven cook 200°C, 400°F, Fan 180°C, Gas 6. Do not remove any packaging. Do not open or pierce the bag before cooking. Place the bagged chicken in a deep roasting tray and cook in the centre of the oven for the calculated time on the front of pack (40 minutes per 1kg plus an additional 20 minutes). Avoid the bag coming into contact with open flame or heating element. If you want the skin to be more crisp, remove the chicken from the oven at the end of cooking time and open the bag by cutting around the dotted line with a knife or scissors. Return the chicken to the oven for the final 10 minutes. Caution: take care when opening the bag as steam may escape. Take extra care when removing from the oven and opening the bag as it will contain hot cooking juices. To ensure the chicken is fully cooked, insert a skewer into the thickest part of the meat. If the juices run clear, not pink, it is fully cooked. Check product is piping hot before serving. Do not reheat. For tenderness and succulence, allow the chicken to rest at room temperature inside the bag for 20-30 minutes before carving.
