Preparation and Usage: To thicken sauces, gravies, soups and stews: Use 1 tablespoon of cornflour for every 280ml of liquid you would like to thicken. Blend the cornflour with a small amount of cold water and stir into the recipe, return to the boil and simmer for 2 minutes to thicken. Also a great addition to baking, simply use 1 part cornflour to 4 parts plain flour for lighter cakes and puddings or follow your favourite recipe.
