RWT initially stood for Red Winemaking Trial, representing exploration into the potential of blends, but today, the RWT is a staple in the offerings. Made from Barossa Valley Shiraz grapes selected for their aromatic qualities, fine tannins and plush texture, the blend is then aged in French oak, which gives a subtle character. The RWT Bin 798 blends this spicy note with blue fruits, an earthy depth, a richness from espresso and chocolate and a unique hint of rhubarb and fermented tea. Flavours of red berries are apparent on the palate, complimenting the savouriness of fennel and a complex structure.
