Preparation Instructions:
All you need is:
- 1 medium egg
- 35ml oil or 42g melted salted butter
- 65ml water (4 tbsp + 1 teaspoon)
- 2 pinches of salt
Prep time: 10 mins
Baking time: 22-25 mins
Bake in: 1 (20x20cm) square tin
Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C for fan assisted ovens) / Gas Mark 4. Line square tin with baking paper.
- Stir egg, water, oil and brownie mix in a medium bowl until well blended. Then, mix the caramel sauce with 2 pinches of salt in a separate bowl and heat for 30 seconds in the microwave.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared tin. Drizzle and spread out the caramel sauce on the brownie batter. Cover with the rest of the brownie batter.
- Bake for 22-25 minutes or until skewer inserted 5 cm from edge of tin comes out almost clean. Cool, then slice.
Note: Do not eat unbaked batter.
