The story behind Billecart-Salmon's Le Clos Saint Hilaire Blanc de Noirs Brut is one of family history. In the 1950s, François Roland-Billecart's grandmother set aside a garden next to the family's home for their enjoyment. On realising the terroir's potential, the family planted the first Pinot Noir vines there in 1964. The grapes grown on these vines are used to create this single-plot Champagne, making it a rare vintage destined to age beautifully.
Founded after the union of Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon, the family-owned Billecart-Salmon has blended Champagne for over two centuries. Guided by the motto quality over quantity, the House employs gentle pressing and slow fermentation to reveal the purity of fruit and the elegance of its terroir.
