Scotland produces this bold yet smooth whisky perfect for your next cocktail session. The recipe remains Batch 27, ensuring consistency in every pour you enjoy from your glass.
A favourite amongst bartenders for its smooth and rich qualities, Monkey Shoulder created an innovative blended malt whisky that's bold enough to be mixed in cocktails, and yet balanced enough to enjoy neat.
Catch whiffs of zesty orange, vanilla, honey and spiced oak and taste mellow vanilla with spicy hints; Monkey Shoulder boasts a rich, smooth, malty and fruity character that is distinctive yet balanced enough and perfect for cocktails.
The iconic whisky bottle is complete with 3 monkeys, each representing a constituent single malt whisky. Rooted in malt whisky lore, the name references a strain injury playfully known as 'monkey shoulder' experienced by the William Grant & Sons malt men who turned malted barley by hand using large, heavy malt shovels.
With a playful attitude and commitment to the unconventional, Monkey Shoulder is the perfect whisky gift for a new generation of scotch drinkers.
Monkey Shoulder whisky offers light and delicate vanilla notes on the nose. Floral, malty, soft, and slightly honeyed, this blended scotch has a smooth and rounded taste with hints of malty sweetness, vanilla, barley sugar and marmalade.
Monkey Shoulder is the product of a closely guarded recipe: a smooth blend of Speyside single malts that produce a complex array of delicious flavours.
The whiskies are matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks and vatted together in small batches for up to six months before bottling at 40% Alcohol by Volume.
Add a cheeky splash of Monkey to your next cocktail bash; Whether it's an Old Fashioned, Espresso Martini or Monkey Colada, our Blended Scotch brings a bold, but balanced smooth, malty, and fruity character to whisky cocktails.
But make sure the Monkey comes first; Add a dram of Monkey Shoulder whisky to your glass first, then add three ice cubes to your drink; Trust us, we don't Monkey around when it comes to great whisky.
