Brindisa’s Ibérico de Bellota hams have been matured for 3 years by a family who have cured hams since 1910. Made only from free-range pigs who forage for the acorns in the oak groves of southwest Spain. The pig’s diet of bellotas (acorns) give these hams their special succulence and flavour, when cured for 36 months in Guijuelo, Salamanca. The ham has a balance of savoury and sweet flavours with a nutty aroma, which is complex and long-lasting.
Brindisa offers a story of Spanish foods. Brindisa’s name comes from the word ‘Brindis’, which means to raise one’s glass in a toast, and Brindisa celebrates varied cultures, landscapes and exceptional foods of Spain. Founded by Monika Linton in 1988, she believed the foods she loved in Spain deserved to find a wider audience and now, over 30 years later, Brindisa has put Fine Spanish food firmly on the gastronomes’ map of the UK, delivering to the UK’s finest restaurants and delicatessen's.
