Brindisa La Chinata Hot Smoked Paprika D.O.P is made from hot red Jaranda peppers which are ground in the D.O.P. region of Extremadura and then smoked over oak fires creating the unmistakable spicy smoky flavour.
A traditional seasoning in Spanish dishes from Paella to bean stews and casseroles. You could also use it as a garnish to houmus, pan fried meat or fish or even gently toasted Marcona almonds.
Pimentón de la Vera D.O.P. paprika has to be smoked over oak wood, and the peppers are grown in the fertile area around La Vera in northern Extremadura.
