Navarrico lentils are produced in Navarra, the garden of Northern Spain. These premium grade lentils have a sweet, nutty flavour and thin, tender skins. They are prepared with only water and a little salt - cooked in the same manner as the Spanish do at home. Healthy as well as delicious, they are high in dietary fibre, rich in protein and a good source of antioxidants. Navarrico lentils have a rich creamy flavour, and are not watery or over-salted.
Conservas Artesanas El Navarrico was established by Hercules Amalia and Jose Salcedo in 1960. Their children and grandchildren now run the business. El Navarrico process their fruit and vegetables amongst the fertile fields of the Ebro valley, where Navarra meets La Rioja.
