xCALPOL® Infant Suspension 100ml is used to relieve pain and/or fever, including post-immunisation fever, teething, toothache, cold and flu symptoms, sore throats, and other aches and pains.
CALPOL® Infant Suspension is a strawberry flavoured, paracetamol oral suspension. It provides gentle pain and fever relief for your little one, and gets to work on fever in 15 minutes, while being delicate on the tummy. It can be used from 2 months, for all but the smallest babies, and is suitable for children up to 6 years. Each pack comes with an easy dose syringe.
The active ingredient in this medicine is paracetamol which is used to relieve pain and / or bring down fever (high temperature) in many conditions including post-immunisation fever, teething, headache, cold and flu, toothache, earache, sore throat and other aches and pains.
Do not give this medicine if your baby or child: Has ever had a bad reaction to any of the ingredients. Is taking anything else with paracetamol in it. Is between 2-3 months old and is taking this medicine for other causes of pain and fever and: Weighs less than 4 kg, or was born before 37 weeks. If any of these applies, get advice from a pharmacist or doctor without using CALPOL®.
Speak to a pharmacist or doctor before giving this medicine if your baby or child: Has serious kidney or liver problems. Has an inherited intolerance to fructose or been diagnosed with an intolerance to some other sugars. Is taking certain other medicines; refer to enclosed leaflet. If you are not sure about the medicine your child is taking, show the bottle or pack to your pharmacist.
Active ingredient: Paracetamol 120 mg per 5 ml. Other ingredients: Sucrose, Sorbitol Liquid (Non Crystallising) (E420), Glycerol, Xanthan Gum,Microcrystalline cellulose and carmellose sodium, Polysorbate 80, Acesulfame Potassium, Propyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E216), Ethyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E214), Strawberry Flavour 500018E (containing propylene glycol (E1520)), Methyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E218), Carmoisine (E122) and Purified water.
For oral use only. It is important to shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds before use. Always use the syringe supplied with the pack. Do not give more medicine than the label tells you to.
