More than 100 years ago, Don Melchor de Concha y Toro reserved for himself an exclusive batch of his best wines. To keep strangers away from his private reserve, he spread the rumour that the Devil lived in his cellar. Hence the name: Casillero del Diablo (The Devil's Cellar). Regional information: Produced with grapes from across our vineyards in Chile.
The grapes were fermented for 7 days in stainless steel at 26-28C and the juice was then aged for 9 months in stainless steel with oak staves (70% French & 30% American).
