The first vines were planted at Tenterden in the late 1970's and the vineyard has been continuously producing English wines from this site ever since.

Tasting notes: Chapel Down Sparking Bacchus 2018 is a remarkably fresh and aromatic white wine with intense aromas of pineapple, grapefruit and elderflower. The clean refreshing palate has an abundance of tropical fruit with fresh acidity and a touch of sparkle.

Taste category: The gentle effervescence carries the tropical fruit and floral flavours giving a crisp, refreshing finish.
Vinification details: Fruit is sourced from vineyards in Kent. Grapes are grown predominantly on single and double guyot pruning systems, on varied soils including, chalk, clay and loam soils. Grapes were hand picked and whole bunch pressed in September and October 2022. Cool fermentation in stainless steel with no malolactic fermentation helps to retain the freshness of this style.
