



Chateau Cap L'Ousteau is a Haut Médoc red wine from the Bordeaux region of France. It features a complex blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot grapes, offering cherry and vanilla aromas. Serve between 18-20°C to enjoy with red meats or fine cheeses.

Located near to Margaux, the Château Cap L'Ousteau enjoys a typic Médoc gravel terroir. This terroir is combined with well-equilibrated grape varieties: Merlot for the color and the roundness, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc for the fruit and the finesse, and Petit Verdot for the structure. Barrels growing sublime the quality and the personality of this cru.
Served between 18 to 20°C this wine is the perfect match with traditional meals like red meats or veal and with some fine cheeses.

The Château and the outbuildings date respectively from the 18th and 19th centuries. Among its illustrious owners, it boasts Monsieur de Bethman who was mayor of Bordeaux, and the Clauzel family. It is on this privileged site, extending from the terroir of Moulis, that the 78 hectares or so of the estate Château du Cartillonare cultivated. Cap l'Ousteau is the second wine of the Château du Cartillon and is given the same attention as its prestigious elder.

Château Cap l'Ousteau is located to Lamarque, at the same distance of Margaux as Saint-Julien. The 45 hectare vineyard occupies a remarkable position on two hilltops whose thick layer of gravels is an eminently favourable environment for winegrowing.
This wine has a very intense and brilliant red garnet colour. The nose is complex, persistant and spicy with cherry and vanilla aromas. The attack is supple with a balanced mouth with prune and red fruit jam notes.
