xOrchard House is our home among the fruit trees - newcomers always welcome. Notice the sweet scent of apples, pears and strawberries? It's as if an entire summer's harvest is ripening at once, and you get the feeling it's somehow the same here all year round.
The door open as always, the embers of a fire smouldering in the hearth and the table filled with the gathered fruits. Inviting, isn't it?
We harvest a fruitful selection of malt whiskies at just the right time, then blend to showcase their bright fruit characteristics. With a light oak influence, a gentle honey sweetness comes through from first-fill bourbon barrels.
At first you find crisp, bright notes of red apple and pear, followed by shortbread sweetness, honeyed vanilla and notes of wild strawberries and Earl Grey tea.
