Contea di Castiglione Barolo is an Italian red wine made from Nebbiolo grapes. It is aged for three years in oak casks, developing a complex and spicy aroma. Serve at room temperature with game or mature cheeses.
A warm, richly-flavoured, spicy Barolo made in an approachable style.
Made from the noble grape Nebbiolo, cultivated on the Langhe Hills around the town Barolo in the south of the Piemonte region of northern Italy.
Following three years ageing in large oak casks, the wine develops a light red colour with hints of orange, the nose is complex and spicy, on the palate it is rich, full-bodied with sweet tannins and a dry finish. This Barolo complements game and mature cheeses and is best served at room temperature.
