For generations, Croft Sherry has been a drink of choice in many British households. A Croft is heritage, nostalgia, and excellence rolled into one truly sophisticated beverage.

The grapes were harvested by hand with a strict selection process ensuring that only the best bunches were picked. After being de-stemmed the grapes were transferred to temperature controlled fermentation tanks using nothing other than the force of gravity. Malolactic fermentation took place afterwards in new French and American oak barrels in which the wine was subsequently left to rest for thirteen months, acquiring just the right touch of wood that characterises each component of the blend.

Grape variety: Palomino. Current vintage: NV.

Regional information: The vineyards in Jerez are unique to the area. The soil in Jerez is majority Albariza, a white soil which contains up to 60% chalk and therefore has a large capacity for maintaining moisture, very important given the long, hot and dry summers as irrigation is prohibited.

Tasting notes: Savour the sweet, crisp refreshment of Croft original, the classic pale cream. This iconic sherry is sophisticated, smooth and sociable. With its light colour and refreshing taste, it has been gracing garden gatherings and family get togethers for generations.

Alcohol by volume: 17.50% ABV. Units: 17.5.

Vinification details: Croft is produced from the first press of the continuous press. Following fermentation to between 11% and 12% alcohol the wine is fortified to 15.5% alcohol and then enters the Croft solera.
