Del Maguey Pechuga Mezcal is an artisanal spirit known for its rarity and unique production process. It features a smooth, balanced finish achieved through a special distillation with seasonal ingredients, making it ideal for sipping neat or in cocktails.
The Del Maguey Pechuga mezcal is defined by rarity. Its production period is limited due to special ingredients - wild mountain apples and plums - that are highly seasonal and can't be substituted. They're added as part of the spirit's third distillation alongside red plantain bananas, pineapples, almonds and a small amount of uncooked white rice. Finally, a whole chicken breast -the 'pechuga' - is suspended in the atmosphere and allows the mezcal's vapour to condense with a smooth, balanced finish.
