These Hughes Portabellini mushrooms are a premium variety of light brown to caramel coloured caps with white and pink stalks. Hand picked by Red Tractor Assurance Scheme members across Northern Ireland.
Portabellini Mushrooms (also known as Crimini or Mini Bella's) are a light brown to caramel coloured caps with white, off white, pink stalks. Our mushrooms are grown in compost in tunnels on bags or shelving. All our growers are members of the Red Tractor Assurance Scheme and LEAF members to provide full quality assurance. Mushrooms double in size in 24 hours so Portabellini mushrooms are the same as a chestnut mushroom just left on the mushroom bed for a little longer.
