Aged in French and American oak, Deep and structured, Imperial Reserva is a refined Rioja with layers of dark fruit, spice and subtle oak. Elegant and powerful, it combines concentration with balance and a long, polished finish. Pairs wonderfully with slow-cooked meats, roast root vegetables, mushroom Wellington, lentil and vegetable casseroles, or rich tomato-based dishes.
The Imperial winery is a small and unique independent artisanal winery within the original CVNE facility in Haro, where the company was founded. This has been one of Spain's finest wines since 1920 and is only produced in years of exceptional harvests in Rioja: Imperial. A true Rioja classic, ideal for special meals and moments worth celebrating.

History
Imperial, part of the C.V.N.E - Compañía Vinícola del Norte del España (the Northern Spanish Wine Company) - was founded in 1879 in the town of Haro in Rioja by two brothers and today is still controlled by the direct descendants of the founding family. Since its inception, C.V.N.E has been focused on the production and ageing of red, rosé and white wines and now comprises four wineries: Cune, Imperial, Vina Real and Contino.
Regional information
The 545 hectares of vineyards that C.V.N.E owns are distributed between the two sub regions of Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa which are known for producing the very best Rioja wines. The UK Chief Medical Officers recommend adults do not regularly drink more than 14 units per week. Drink Responsibly.
