Cooking guidelines: Cooking Instructions - General. Steaming guarantees a fluffy bun and an even cook, especially if you're cooking lots at once. For the best results when microwaving, cook in batches of 2 or 4. Serve and enjoy. Please always be careful of hot steam when removing bao buns. For guidance only, cooking appliances will vary. Please ensure bao buns are cooked until piping hot. Do not re-heat once cooked.; Microwave - From Frozen. [2 bao buns] - Place 2 bao buns in the centre of a microwaveable bowl - Cover with microwavable clingfilm and pierce - Microwave for 50 seconds [750W / 900W] - Leave to stand for 3 mins then remove clingfilm [4 bao buns] - Place 4 bao buns in the centre of a microwaveable bowl - Cover with microwavable cling film and pierce - Microwave for 1 min 30 seconds [750W] or 1 min 20 seconds [900W] - Leave to stand for 3 mins then remove cling film; Steam - From Frozen. Steamer [recommended] - Poke holes in greaseproof paper to line your steamer [or use a steamer liner] and preheat - Place bao buns in the steamer and cover with a lid - Steam for 10 mins Steam in colander [recommended] - Poke holes in greaseproof paper to line your colander [or use a steamer liner] - Place the colander above a pan of softly boiling water - Place the bao buns in and cover with a lid - Steam for 10 mins.
