This rug has been knotted by hand, the oldest and most individual way a rug can be made. This involves an intricate process of weaving by hand on a loom where yarns are tied one at a time, giving the rug a durable construction.
For care, it is recommended to use a rug underlay to prevent movement and colour transfer. Shedding is expected with natural fibres and will reduce over time; vacuum with suction only and avoid rotating brushes. Blot spills with a clean, dry cloth and do not rub or use harsh detergents. For shampooing, dilute carpet shampoo, dab lightly, and allow to dry thoroughly.
