All of our oats are grown in Britain. We don't import any oats for our Mornflake Mighty Oats. Why would we when the UK growing conditions mean we have the best oats in the world?
It all started with william lea almost 350 years ago, when mother nature provided power to turn our first mill stone. 15 generations later she's still powering our mill.
Mighty Oats are still milled by James & Edward Lea using the positive power of nature. We work together with our farmers to make sure we leave our planet a better place for future generations.
Low food miles
0% Production waste
We recycle and reuse everything we can. Any by-products of our oats are used as feed and biofuel.
Our wind turbine & solar farm generate enough energy to more than cover the milling of Mornflake Mighty Oats. To see how we do it, visit www.mightyoats.com

This is our traditional recipe; please adjust the water or milk level to suit your own preferences.
Place 40g oatmeal in a saucepan and mix well with 285ml (1/2 pint) of water. If you like your oatmeal porridge creamier make with milk or a combination of milk & water. Stir continuously until the porridge comes to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for approx. 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
For a smoother texture soak the ingredients overnight, bring to the boil then simmer for 4-6 minutes.
