1500 Seeds. A fast growing early variety with blunt-ended roots and very little core. March to July.
In a prepared seed bed. Sow thinly in rows 25cm apart. Cover lightly with 1.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 14-21 days. For continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks. When harvesting, select alternate young carrots from the row, allowing the remainder to develop fully. No other thinning is needed if sown thinly. Keep well watered to prevent the roots splitting. Keep weed free at all times. Protect early sowings with cloches. June to November. Lift remainder in October or November, remove soil from roots and store in dry sand. Harvest first carrots when finger sized, sweet and succulent.
