Natoora British Organic Shiitake Mushrooms are straight from a grower in South Devon. Denser and more moist than other commercially grown varieties, these shiitake mushrooms have highly textured caps and beautifully defined gills, with a rich, earthy umami flavour.
With no need for preservatives to maintain freshness, they are perfect sautéed, added to risottos or in soups, particularly traditional Japanese Miso Soup. The stems make excellently rich and meaty vegetable stock.
The packaging is plastic-free, with recyclable cardboard punnets flow-wrapped with home-compostable film that disintegrates within 180 days. Dispose of the black punnet in normal recycling and the clear film in food waste bin.
