Natoora Cave Grown Brown Paris Mushrooms are a premium variety known for their firm texture and rich flavour. Grown underground in quarries to maintain constant temperature, they offer a less watery flesh ideal for various dishes. These mushrooms are sourced from traditional growers in France and packed in the UK, ensuring authentic quality.
Varietally similar to Button Mushrooms, Brown Paris Mushrooms are grown underground in quarries so that they can be kept at constant temperature. This results in firmer, less watery flesh and a rich, concentrated flavour. While many Champignons de Paris are actually grown industrially, we source ours just north of Paris from one of the few remaining growers who still uses traditional methods. As these mushrooms are grown directly in the earth, the very tip of their stem is often covered with soil. Simply slice it off before cooking.
