Use this forced radicchio in salads or roasted dishes for a bitter twist. Natoora Italian Radicchio Trevisano is a long, tightly-packed variety with dark red leaves, harvested in Veneto, Italy.
Vegetarian.
Forced radicchio from its native growing region of Veneto in north-east Italy. A long, tightly-packed variety of winter leaves with a characteristic bitterness in its dark red leaves. The harvest begins in September and, unlike Tardivo, this variety ripens in the open field after the leaves are tied with a rubber band and held shut, without light, for 15-20 days. The other leaves are then removed in the field. Packed by weight, not by unit.
Take it further - Toss with roasted pumpkin and orange zest - Quarter and roast whole, drizzled in extra virgin olive oil.
Natoora' radical approach to seasonal sourcing is shaping the future of food. We don't work with industrial agriculture or large wholesalers. We work closely with growers who are preserving vital flavours through meaningful small farming. We back these growers to build a better future for food, rooted in small scale, sustainable agriculture that gives back to our planet.
