Giorntata's wines reflect the purity of the soil vintage and grape in homage to winemaking team Brian and Stephanie's favorite wines from Italy but with a unique character derived from their origin in Paso Robles. Orangotango is a wine that defies expectation and is great fun to drink. Technically an orange wine it is a blend of several white Italian varieties that were fermented for a period on their skins. Unlike most orange wines this lot was then gently filtered prior to bottling giving something that is decidedly more approachable (less funky) than some in the genre can be.
The latest vintage contains three varieties Falanghina Vermentino and Fiano these white grapes are fermented on skins in fermenters for 14-21 days.
Great served chilled and by itself but also delicious when paired with any dish that have gentle spice froma Lamb roast joint or tagine to harissa aubergine and korean inspired dishes with kimchi.
