Paracetamol, the active ingredient in Panadol, is recommended by healthcare professionals to help reduce symptoms of pain and fever related to COVID-19. Panadol Actifast contains sodium bicarbonate which enables the medicine to be absorbed twice as fast as standard paracetamol - helping you get back to what truly counts. Plus, it leaves your body naturally in 24 hours and does not cause drowsiness. The film-coated tablets can be taken on an empty stomach.
Adults, including the elderly and children aged 16 years and over, take 2 tablets with 100ml water. Take 2 tablets up to 4 times daily as required. The dose should not be repeated more frequently than every 4 hours nor should more than 8 tablets be taken in a 24 hour period. Children aged 12-15 years take 1 tablet with 100ml water up to 4 times daily as required. The dose should not be repeated more frequently than every 4 hours nor should more than 4 tablets be taken in a 24 hour period. Not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
