Torri Cantine was originally a cooperative established in 1966 but has since become a small private estate with around 25 hectares of mature vines. The vineyards are fully converted to organic wine production, with sites dotted through the foothills below the Gran Sasso mountain.
Grape variety: Montepulciano.
Current vintage: 2024.
Regional information: The Abruzzo region enjoys mild temperatures during winter and a large diurnal range during the summer. The vineyards are dry and ventilated at 290m above sea level.
Tasting notes: A ripe and velvety Montepulciano with a little tannin and herbaceousness to lift the dark cherry fruit. Fresh, mineral and crisp with persistence and a full-bodied mouthfeel.

Vinification details: Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a max of 20C. The wine spent 10 hours in contact with the skins to encourage the distinctive dark colour and complexity.
