Varzea do Marão is a beautiful family owned property located in a mountainous area that is on the eastern boarder of the Vinho Verde region. It is a place where you can feel the cool of the Atlantic influence. The family have been making wine for over a century in this region and own the oldest vineyard in Vinho Verde. Expertise passed down through many generations ensures typical winemaking of the very best quality.

History: Quinta da Calçada is in the heart of the Vinho Verde region in Amarante. Owned by the da Mota family since 1917, the winery is one of the oldest producers in Vinho Verde, with a focus on high quality white wines and sparkling.

Vinification details: The carefully selected grapes were de-stemmed and lightly pressed with the extracted juice transferred to each stainless steel vat using gravity rather than a pump. It was then fermented at controlled temperatures over two weeks before filtering and bottling.
