What do you get when you combine a beautiful sunny Mediterranean climate with one of the most isolated countries in the world? Chile, a vine grower's paradise.
At Veramonte, we believe in preserving this paradise. So we are careful to be as sustainable as possible in the winery and we farm all of our vines organically. No nasty chemicals in our vineyards or our wines.
The fruit for this Chardonnay is grown on our estate in the beautiful Casablanca Valley, where it is gently cooled by breezes from the Pacific Ocean. When it is ripe, we carefully pick and vinify the grapes, resulting in this delicious, smooth, and fresh Chardonnay.

Regional information: Casablanca Valley is roughly 30km (20 miles) long, stretching to the eastern border of the Valparaiso province. Because it is only 30km (20 miles) from the Pacific Ocean at its furthest point, Casablanca Valley is strongly influenced by the cooling effects of the Humboldt Current, which flows up the west coast of Chile from the Antarctic. It is this cooler climate that makes Casablanca's wines stand out with a longer ripening period to develop greater flavour complexity.
Tasting notes: Fresh and expressive aromas of pear, quince and lemon curd, interwoven with toasty oak notes. Vibrant purity of the fruit with beautiful texture and good depth, reveal the remarkable fresh fruit characters that lead to a long memorable finish.
