The Pizo Cariñena is a deep-coloured, velvety wine with ripe black fruit galore. It gets its richness from very carefully limiting the yields in the vineyard, excellent soils and the ideal climate. The character it gets when expertly cultivated like it is here gives ripe bramble fruit, spice and earthy aromas. Its dark nature helps it match up beautifully with heavy dishes like beef stew and strongly flavoured game meats.
Please drink responsibly: The UK Chief Medical Officers recommend adults do not regularly drink more than 14 units per week.
Selected vineyards from the higher parts of Paniza's terroir, rounding 700-800m altitude. Mostly slate soils, maximum care in the harvest and production process so this native grape reaches its full expression.
