Product attributes
Every purchase you make is a choice: the kind of agriculture you support, the impact on the environment, and the future of food. Wholegood sources organic produce from farmers that care about the soil they grow in as much as the flavour it produces. It's not aesthetically perfect, exteriors can sometimes be blemished and shaped a bit wonky, but this does not compromise flavour. Our packs contain a minimum of two peppers; maybe more if they're smaller, but they will always have a minimum weight per pack of 200g.
Also known as pointed peppers or Ramiro peppers, these peppers may resemble a large chilli but are sweet to taste. Our Romanos are predominantly a bright vibrant red but can have discoloration of greenish hues or darker imperfections based on their light exposure as they were grown. Crisp and juicy, they are a choice addition into salads, wraps and roasts. Their natural sweetness and aroma blooms when sliced finely and intensifies when cooked by methods like roasting, grilling and charring.
Our packaging reflects our commitment to the planet. Our netting is plastic free & home compostable - made with Beechwood recovered from the thinning of European FSC or PEFC certified forestry.

Preparation and Usage
Romano peppers are cooked in a variety of ways. Chosen for their vivid sweetness, they add a fruity yet peppery crunch to salads. These peppers retain their shape well even when cooked in high heat, and their innards go tender and smoky. So, our preferred way to prepare them is by stuffing them with spiced couscous and then grilling them to get perfect char lines to complement their vibrant red skin. A nice squeeze of lime and some chopped parsley on top brings this dish to life.
